Elsie R. Dufault

Elsie R. (Polverini) Dufault, 88, of Chicopee passed away on September 30, 2016 at Holyoke Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. She was born September 17, 1928 in South Hadley, the daughter of the late Dominic and Anna (Tonnucci) Polverini.  Elsie lived most of her life in Chicopee and was educated in both South Hadley and Chicopee Schools. For 55 years, Elsie was married to the love of her life, Roger P. Dufault a retired US Navy Veteran of WWII and Korean Conflict.  She spent 30 happy years serving the community at the Cavalier Restaurant in Chicopee before her retirement. In her free time she enjoyed bowling, bingo, playing cards, cooking and baking for family and friends.  Elsie leaves to cherish her memory five children; Lawrence Dufault and his wife Debbie, Gloria Chouinard and her husband Mark, Nancy Stevens and  her fiancé Mark Nevins, all of Chicopee , Robert Dufault and his wife Laurie of South Hadley and Donna Garon and her husband David of Granby, a sister, Dina Levesque, nine grandchildren; Andy, Tony and Todd Dufault, Kelly  (Chouinard)  Mayer, Kathryn  (Chouinard ) Hickey, Jimmy and David Kulig, Nathan and Justin Garon and five beautiful great grandchildren; Tylee Dufault, Jack and Kate Mayer, Quinn and Connor Hickey and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Roger, brothers; William, Diamond, Henry and Leo Polverini, sisters; Edith Mulvihill and Viola St. John. Family and friends are invited to calling hours on Wednesday October 5 , 2016 from 4pm-7pm at the Tylunas Funeral Home , 159 Broadway Chicopee . A funeral service will be held at 9am on Thursday in the funeral home followed by burial at the Massachusetts Veteran's Memorial Cemetery in Agawam.
