Ernie E. Barker

SPRINGFIELD-Ernest "Ernie" Edward Barker, 52, passed away unexpectedly at home on Saturday, August 8, 2020. Ernie was born on August 10, 1967 and raised in Schenectady, NY. From an early age, his passion was collecting antiques. He loved the "find" either for himself, someone else or to sell. Ernie worked for Executive Parking in Springfield as the "Meterman" and enjoyed his work immensely. He is survived by his partner of 27 years, Georgette Andre; his precious "prizes" daughters, Jessica and Sophia Barker; loving mother Elizabeth Barker; brother Terry Barker and sister-in-law Debbie Barker; two nephews and a niece. As well as many extended family and numerous friends whom he truly cared for and loved. Ernie was preceded by his father, Robert Barker. Family and Friends will gather to remember Ernie on Saturday, August 15, 2020 from 9:00 to 11:00 A.M. at Tylunas Funeral Home, 159 Broadway St., Chicopee with a Service of Remembrance at the Funeral Home at 11:00 A.M. Interment will be private. Donations in Ernie's memory may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN  38105-3678
