Ethal Gaba

Ethel (Georges)  Gaba 1925 ~ 2008   CHICOPEE- Ethel (Georges) Gaba 82 died Saturday (June 28th) at home , surrounded by her loving  family. Ethel was born in Chicopee on September 8, 1925 , a daughter of the late Louis and Anna (Banas) Georges  and was a life long resident. Prior to retirement , she was employed by Buxton's  in Agawam. Ethel was a member of Sts. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church, Chicopee. She was blessed with fifty years of marriage to the late Chester Stanley Gaba, who predeceased  her on February 17, 1999. A brother, Nicholas Georges, and three sisters, Helen Georges, Olga Pisano, and Penelope Kraus also predeceased Ethel. She is survived by her two sons, Douglas Gaba of Chicopee, Robert Gaba of Colorado Springs, Co. ; her brother, Theofany Georges of Chicopee; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services are Thursday , 10:00 am from the Tylunas Funeral Home, 159 Broadway, Chicopee followed by a procession to Sts. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church, 30 Grattan St., Chicopee for 11:00 AM  ceremonies. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Chicopee. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday at the funeral home from 4:00 - 7:00 PM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Sts Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church, P.O.
