Ethel J Burdick

Ethel J. Burdick, 90, passed peacefully on October 9, 2015 at Wingate at South Hadley, MA. Ethel was born in 1925 to Alfred Chickering and Myrtle Curtis. She grew up in Maine and Oxford, MA where she attended junior high school and later met her husband, Leonard Burdick. Ethel was a lifelong member of the American Legion Women's Auxiliary and the American Veterans Association both of Chicopee. Ethel was a graceful, loving and caring person who will forever be missed and never forgotten. She leaves to cherish her memory a daughter, Marlene Whalen, grandchildren Shannon and her husband Patrick, and Kristopher, along with a host of nieces, nephews and many dear friends.  Ethel was predeceased by her husband Leonard Burdick in 1995; her son-in law, James Whalen, five sisters and two brothers. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Tylunas Funeral home of Chicopee, MA.  A memorial service was privately held at the request of the family.
