Eugene A. Picard1928-2015Chicopee-Eugene A. Picard, 87, of Chicopee Falls passed peacefully at Baystate Medical Center. Eugene was born and raised in Chicopee and attended school there before he joined the US Navy 1945. He worked at Westover Air Force Base as a chief engineer. Eugene was avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing. He had many passions in life but his true passion was his family. Eugene loved spending time at the Big E. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Anita Picard; his three sons Kenneth, Mark and Edward Picard; three sisters Cecile Haley, Jeanette Hammel, and Rita LaFlamme and one grandson Mark Picard Jr. He was predeceased by his sister Lorraine Flynn. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, October 27, 2015 in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Chicopee at 11am. Memorial contributions in Eugene's name can be made to the Shiners Hospital for Children, 516 Carew Street Springfield, MA 01104.
