Eva Lorraine (Vacher) Hamilton, 100, passed away peacefully on Saturday morning at Mount Marie in Holyoke after a century in this world. Eva was born in Springfield, a daughter of the late John and Ora (Baron) Vacher. Eva worked as a Sales Associate at Sear & Roebuck for many years, retiring in 1985. Eva was a devoted Catholic and a communicant of Ste. Rose de Lima Church in Aldenville. Whether she was out on one of her multiple daily walks or tap dancing, Eva was very active throughout her life. She also enjoyed spending time at the Senior center in Chicopee with friends and was a member of the Red Hat Society. She was predeceased by her parents, John & Ora and her siblings; John Vacher, Clara Nichols and Lorraine Nettokoven and her grandson Scott Ryan. Eva leaves her devoted children; Joan Ryan of East Longmeadow, Bernard “Bernie” Hamilton Jr. of East Longmeadow, and Janice Pelletier of South Hadley, as well as three grandchildren, four great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. THE FAMILY WILL RECEIVE FRIENDS ON FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 10, 2023 FROM 9:00 TO 10:00 A.M. AT STE. ROSE DE LIMA CHURCH, 600 GRATTAN ST., ALDENVILLE. A FUNERAL MASS WILL BE CELEBRATED FOR EVA AT 10:00 A.M. followed by burial of her ashes in St. Anne’s Cemetery, Main Street ,Three Rivers.
