Evelyn Crevier

Evelyn Crevier1928-2016Holyoke- Evelyn Crevier, 87, of Holyoke, passed away Saturday, February 6, 2016 at Holyoke Health Care Center. Born in Chicopee on March 8, 1928 she was the daughter of the late Theodore J. and Annamae (Connor) Crevier. Evelyn lived in Chicopee for most of her life before moving to Holyoke in 1970. She was a graduate of Chicopee High School, went on to graduate from Elms College, and received her master's degree in Science from Springfield College. Evelyn worked as a teacher for Chicopee Public Schools and later as a principal for Chapin Elementary School where she retired in 1987. Evelyn enjoyed arts and crafts, vacationing at the Cape, and spending time with her family, especially the younger generations.  Along with her parents, she was predeceased by her brother and sister-in-law, Theodore C. and Jean B. Crevier. Evelyn leaves her two nieces, Susan Schmieding of Granby and Kathleen Rollins of Chicopee; two nephews, Theodore Crevier of Chicopee and William Crevier of Middletown, DE; and many great nieces and nephews. A calling hour will be held on Friday, February 12, 2016 from 9-10am at Tylunas Funeral Home, 159 Broadway, Chicopee followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11am in Mary, Mother of Hope Church, 840 Page Blvd, Springfield. Burial will take place in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Fuller Rd, Chicopee. Donations may be made to Alzheimer's Disease Association, 264 Cottage St, Springfield, MA 01104.
