Flora B. Fitzpatrick

Flora B. Fitzpatrick 1907 ~ 2008   Chicopee- Flora (Beauchamp) Fitzpatrick, 101, of Chicopee, passed away on Tuesday, December 23, 2008. Born in Springfield and a resident of Chicopee for most of her life, she was the daughter of the late Dr. Joseph O. Beauchamp and Marie Anna (Deslongchamp) Beauchamp. Flora was a graduate of the College of New Rochelle and studied in Paris at the Sorbonne. A teacher in the Chicopee School Department, she taught Latin and French for several years. Flora was a communicant of St. Patrick's Church in Chicopee. She was predeceased by her husband, former Chicopee School Superintendent, John L. Fitzpatrick, Sr., her son, John L. Fitzpatrick, Jr., and her daughter, Ellen Fitzpatrick. She leaves her daughters, Anna Marie Roque of Essex Junction, VT; Therese Eileen Phillips of Chicopee; Marguerite F. Trier of Palm Harbor, FL; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 29, 2008 fron the Tylunas Funeral Home, 159 Broadway, Chicopee at 9:00am, followed by the Liturgy of Christian Burial in St. Patrick's Church, 319 Broadway, Chicopee at 10:00am. Burial will be in St. Rose de Lima Cemetery, Chicopee. Calling hours will be on Sunday from 3-6 pm. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Flora's memory may be made to the John L.
