Florence Benoit

Florence D. Benoit 1918-2005 CHICOPEE- Florence D. (Audette) Benoit, 87, a longtime Chicopee resident, entered into eternal rest on Sunday June 5, 2005 at Willimansett Nursing Home-West in Chicopee. Florence was born in Winooski, VT on April 23, 1918 the daughter of the late Henry and Julia (Potvin) Audette. She retired from Uniroyal in 1964 after 14 years of service. Florence was a communicant of St. Rose de Lima Church in Chicopee. She was predeceased by her husband, Maurice H. Benoit in 1970, and her eight brothers and five sisters. Florence is survived by her sons; Roger M. Benoit of Chicopee, Louis H. Benoit of New Boston, MA  and Robert J. Benoit of Elmore, VT, a daughter; Irene E. Duffy of Westfield, six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will assemble on Saturday June 11th at 9:30 a.m. from the Tylunas Funeral Home, 159 Broadway, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. at St. Rose de Lima Church, 600 Grattan St. with Rites of Committal to follow in St. Rose de Lima Cemetery, Olsen St., all in Chicopee. Florence's family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday June 10th from 2-4 p.m. & 7-9 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made in Florence's memory to the Sister's of St. Joseph's, Mt.
