Florence Dora Gaboury

Florence D. Gaboury 1910-2003 Chicopee Falls- Florence D. Gaboury, 93, formerly of 31 East St. Chicopee Falls died Thursday at a local nursing home. Born in Chicopee to the late Philias and Dora (Robert) Gaboury, she has been a life long resident. She retired in 1975 from the former Springfield Hospital, now Baystate Medical Center, where she worked as a dietary supervisor for 11 years. Previously she worked for the former A & P Stores for 21 years and for Westinghouse Co. as a telephone operator. She was a communicant of St. George Church, Chicopee. Florence leaves her two sisters Lorraine A. Collette of Agawam and Claire M. Parrott of Peoria, Illinois and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews. She is pre-deceased by her two brothers Robert E. and Reginald P. Gaboury and two sisters Mildred Watson and Helen Blanchard. Funeral services will be held Monday 9AM from the Tylunas Funeral Home 159 Broadway, Chicopee with a 10AM mass in St. George Church. Burial will be in St Patrick's Cemetery, Chicopee. Visitation will begin a 9 AM prior to the funeral mass. Memorial contributions may be made to St. George Church, 7 Belcher St. Chicopee 01020.
