Florence LaFleur1924-2012SPRINGFIELD- Florence "Flo" (Motherway) LaFleur, a lifelong Springfield resident, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, August 16, 2012. She was born in Springfield on February 18, 1924, a daughter of the late Richard J. and Margaret M. (Costigan) Motherway. Florence graduated from the High School of Commerce. She was a communicant of Mary, Mother of Hope Church and the former Our Lady of Hope Church, both in Springfield. Florence is survived by her children, John "Jack" P. LaFleur and his wife Chris of Ludlow and their children, Jessica and Ryan; and Cheryl A. Quinn and her husband Roland "Sonny" of Springfield and their children, Stephanie, Melissa, and Jennifer; two great-grandchildren, Tyler and Logen; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her former husband, Gerard A. LaFleur; and five siblings, Steve, Richard, Dorothy, and Peggy Motherway, and sister and best friend, Eleanor Courtney. Funeral services will assemble on Tuesday, August 21st beginning at 9 a.m. from the Tylunas Funeral Home, 159 Broadway St., Chicopee, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10 a.m. in Mary, Mother of Hope Church, 840 Page Blvd., with Rites of Committal to follow in St. Michael's Cemetery, St. Rita section, 1601 State St., both in Springfield.
