Florence Lena Lapalme

Florence L. LaPalme 1912 - 2009   Chicopee - Mrs. Florence L. (Theriault) LaPalme, 97, died on Tuesday, September 1, 2009 at the Life Care Center of Wilbraham.  She was born in Chicopee on February 26, 1912, the daughter of the late Ernest and Florence (Berneche) Theriault.  She attended local schools and was previously employed at the former Asinof Mills in Chicopee as a seamstress.  She was the wife of the late Harvey L. LaPalme who died in 1973.  She is survived by her brother, Norman Theriault of West Springfield and her sister in law Dorilla Theriault of Chicopee, several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.  Funeral services are on Saturday, September 5th from the Tylunas Funeral Home, 159 Broadway, Chicopee followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10am at St. George Church, Belcher St in Chicopee.  Burial will be in St. Michael's Cemetery, 1601 State St. Springfield.  A calling hour from 8:30 to 9:30am will precede the services.  The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the nurses and staff of the Life Care Center for the excellent care and compassion Florence received during her stay there.  Contributions in memory of Florence may be directed to the Life Care Center of Wilbraham, 2399 Boston Rd., Wilbraham, MA 01095.  Please visit www.tylunasfuneralhome.com for directions and an online guestbook.
