Frances Wilkins

Frances V. Wilkins, 92, of Chicopee passed away in Wilbraham on February 13, 2017.  Born on August 10, 1924 she was the daughter of John and Josephine (Rogus) Puc and was the beloved wife of the late Joseph Wilkins who predeceased her in 1984.  She leaves two children, a daughter Dr. Carol Wilkins Kuralt and her husband Joseph Kuralt of Granby, MA, a son Steven Wilkins and his wife Chele of West Simsbury, CT, three grandsons, Jason, Jeffrey and Zachary, a great-grandson Jameson and a great-granddaughter, Alana, her sister Irene Kudla of Chicopee, sister-in-law Lillian Malandrinos, and several nieces and a nephew.  Frances graduated from Chicopee High School, class of 1941, Bay Path Institute and Mercy Hospital School of Nursing.  She was a member of Mercy Hospital Alumnae Association, Chicopee Falls Women's Club and a long tine member of the former St. Patrick's Church in Chicopee Falls.  Following her move to Ludlow in late 2008, Frances became a communicant of St. Elizabeth's in Ludlow.  She resided at Keystone Commons in Ludlow before moving to Orchard Valley in Wilbraham.  In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in her name to the Chicopee Public Library.  The service and burial will be private.
