Francis T. Kaczenski

Francis T. Kaczenski 1928 - 2006 CHICOPEE -Francis "Teddy" Kaczenski, 78, died Sunday April 9, 2006 at his home surrounded by his loving and dedicated family. Teddy was born in Holyoke March 9, 1928 a son of the late Konstanty and Stefania Ostrosski Kaczenski. He was educated in Holyoke schools and graduated from the former Holyoke Trade School. Teddy was a U.S. Army Veteran having served in the Korean War. He was honorably discharged in October of 1952. Teddy was predeceased by his wife Ellen (Muller) Kaczenski in 1977. Teddy was a machinist at the former Moore Drop Forge now Easco Danaher and retired in May of 1990 after 37 years of service. Teddy enjoyed traveling to Foxwoods Resort, Mohegan Sun and the Bahamas. He was a baseball and wrestling fan and was an avid coin collector. Teddy is survived by his three loving sisters, Jean Kibit, Estelle Lucy and Phyllis Kaczenski all of Holyoke. Teddy is also survived by Cynthia Stone, his friend and caretaker for over 30 years. He will be remembered by his many cherished nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews whom looked to Teddy for his loving support and guidance. Teddy was predeceased by a brother, John Kaczenski. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday April 12th at 8:45 a.m. at the Tylunas Funeral Home 159 Broadway Chicopee, MA 01020 followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Mater Dolorosa Church, Holyoke. The Rite of Committal will follow in Mater Dolorosa Cemetery, South Hadley. If friends desire, memorial donations in his name can be made to Hospice Life Care, 28 Appleton St. Holyoke 01040. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 4-7 p.m.
