Fred Lutservitz, Jr., 84, passed away peacefully on December 10, 2015 at the Holyoke Soldiers Home. Born February 5, 1931, he was the son of Fred and Corinne Lutservitz. He is predeceased by his sister Merillyn Henry and brother Lawrence. He is survived by his wife Ann and children Fred Lutservitz III and his wife Jean, Lisa Lamarche and her husband Guy (Chip), and his grandchildren Alyssa, Heather, Claire, and Alex. Fred was a 1948 graduate of Chicopee High School and enlisted in the U.S. Airforce in 1950. After his tour of duty, he attended the Ward School of Electronics in Hartford, CT and upon graduation in 1956; he worked for PANELLIT in Skokie, Illinois-traveling extensively in the U.S. while in their employee. Upon returning to Chicopee in 1961, he worked in various places and joined the U.S. Postal Service, Bulk Mail Center in 1974. He retired in 1993. Fred is a member of the First Central Baptist Church in Chicopee. He was a devote Christian and avid reader, and a World War II History buff. Fred enjoyed the outdoors, biking and hiking, and spending his retirement years with all of his grandchildren. A calling hour will be held on Tuesday, December 15, 2015 from 9-10am at Tylunas Funeral Home, 159 Broadway, Chicopee followed by committal services at 11am in the Massachusetts Veterans' Memorial Cemetery Chapel, 1390 Main St, Agawam.
