Freda K. Nolan

Freda K. Nolan 1927 ~ 2007   Springfield - Freda K (Rakouskas) Nolan of Springfield died suddenly in Daytona Beach Florida while on vacation. She was 79 years old. Freda was the wife of the late Bernard Nolan. Born in Chicopee, she was the daughter of the late Adam and Eva Rakouskas. She attended local schools.   A former resident of Chicopee, Freda worked at Westover Air Force Base for many years. She also worked at The Holyoke Soldiers Home as a cook until she retired in 1988.   She leaves her loving son and best friend, Joseph Nolan and his wife Kathy of South Hadley, Her beloved grandsons Ryan Nolan of Hoboken, NJ and Christopher Nolan of South Hadley, her dear sister Eva Tyburski of Springfield and many nieces and nephews. Freda was pre-deceased by her sister Nelly Karcz and brothers Andrew, Adam and Peter Rakouskas.   Funeral Services will be held on Monday from the Tylunas Funeral Home located at 159 Broadway St, Chicopee at 9:00am, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Saint Patrick's Church in Chicopee at 10:00 am. The burial will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Fuller Rd., Chicopee. Calling hours are Sunday from 2 - 5.
