Gerald R. Ferris1938-2015Chicopee- Gerald R. Ferris (Jerry) passed on to be with his Lord on April 15, 2015. Jerry was born in the Hungry Hill section of Springfield MA on July 3, 1938. Son of William and Lorraine (Lareau) Ferris of Chicopee Falls, MA. Jerry was educated in the Chicopee school system, graduating from Chicopee High School in 1956. Jerry served with honor in the US Marine Corp stationed in the Phillipines, Okinawa and 29 Palms, CA. After returning from the Marine Corps he worked in construction. His amazing construction career included Roy M. Wright, T&M Contractors, Ted Ondrick Company and Northeast Contractors. He was regarded as an expert in site development.  Jerry was active in many regional sports and was a devoted New England Patriots fan. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 52 years, Pam (Keilty) Ferris; three daughters, Theresa K. Ferris-Howell and her husband Eric of Mountain View, MO, Debra L Lizak and her late husband John of Chicopee, and Traci F. Holmes of Ilano, CA; his brother William Ferris and his wife Rosemary of Northridge, CA; his sister Judy Ferris of Castle Rock, CO; eight wonderful grandchildren, Mitchell, William, Bridget, Brenna, Andrea, Keith, Jerry, and Nick; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins who mourn his loss as well as his many dear friends.  Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at 9:45a at Tylunas Funeral Home, 159 Broadway, Chicopee with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11am in Sacred Heart Church, 395 Chestnut St, Springfield. Burial will be held at a later date.  Calling hours will be held on Monday, April 20th from 4-7pm at the funeral home.
