Geraldine R. Lafleur

Geraldine R. (Thibodeau) Lafleur, 83, of Coolidge Rd. passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 17, 2024 at Mercy Hospital. Gerry was born in Rumford, ME, a daughter of the late Gerard and Lucy (Beaudet) Thibodeau. Gerry moved to the Chicopee area, marrying Gerald P. Lafleur. She worked 30 years at Eastern Etching before retiring in 2004. Gerry loved gardening and bird watching. She collected antiques and enjoyed crafting as well as sewing. An avid animal lover, she loved her dogs and was very passionate about horses. Gerry was a devoted communicant of the former Assumption Church in Chicopee. She was predeceased by her husband, Gerald and a sister, Mary LaMontagne. She leaves her sons; Jesse Lafleur of Chicopee, Neil Lafleur of Chicopee, and his fiancée Kathryn Pouliot. Her siblings, Daniel Thibodeau, and his wife Bonnie of Rumford, ME, Sheila Nieves of Chicopee, and Dennis Thibodeau and his wife Nelly of Orlando, FL. Her three grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. A Funeral Service for Gerry will be held at Tylunas Funeral Home on Saturday, June 1, 2024 at 10:00 A.M. followed by burial of her ashes in Calvary Cemetery, Chicopee. The family will receive friends from 9:00 to 10:00 A.M. prior to the service. Memorial donations may be made to Mutt Rescue, 102 Grove St, Chicopee, MA 01020
