Gloria B. Dubowski

Gloria B. Dubowski 1932-2011 West Virginia- Gloria B. (Bean) Dubowski, 78, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, June 2, 2011 at home in West Virginia. She was born in Springfield on December 12, 1932 the daughter of the late Carl J. and Blanche (Degon) Bean. Gloria graduated from the High School of Commerce and retired from Stop & Shop, Chicopee, and had worked prior at Diamond Match Company. Prior to Gloria relocating to West Virginia, she was a communicant of Mary, Mother of Hope Church and the former Our Lady of Hope Church, both in Springfield. She was also a member of the Odd Fellows Lodge, Springfield. Gloria enjoyed ceramics and cake decorating. She was predeceased by her husband, Raymond B. Dubowski on August 23, 1992; and a granddaughter, Althea Bias. Her daughter, Debra Ann (Dubowski) Bias, passed away on June 4, 2011. She is survived by her children, Donna L. Bell of Chicopee, Carl W. Dubowski and his wife Cecile of Springfield, and Mark A. Dubowski and his wife Denise of Palmer; 11 grandchildren, Nicole, Shawna, Danielle, Jenna Lynn, Lorelei, Carl Jr., Brennan, Ronnie, Tyler, Tianna, and Rayna; four great-grandchildren, Gavin, Zoe, Khalil, and Anthony; a brother, Donald Bean and his wife Nancy of Florida; two sisters, Thelma Shaw of Connecticut and Barbara Tulip of Florida; and several cousins, nieces and nephews. Gloria's family will receive relatives and friends at the gathering on Thursday, June 16th from 3-7 p.m. at the Tylunas Funeral Home, 159 Broadway St., Chicopee. Funeral services and burial are private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Gloria's memory to Shriner's Hospital for Children, 516 Carew St., Springfield, MA 01104.
