CHICOPEE-Gregory Louis Seidnitzer, 39, of Chicopee passed away peacefully on Thursday at Baystate Medical Center with his loving family by his side. Greg was born in Springfield on May 27, 1980 and grew up in Chicopee, he attended local schools including Holyoke Community College. Known as a gentle giant, he loved working with his hands. He was a carpenter and laborer working for several companies in the area, most recently for Crane Exterior Design in Palmer as an Installer. Greg's greatest joy was spending time with his sweet daughter Adrianna and family. Greg enjoyed reading, watching movies (especially the horror genre) and listening to music; he was often overheard singing as loud as possible, albeit not in the right key most of the time...He loved sports and played football and baseball in his youth. As an adult he played softball with his father and brother, Jeff. He was a Bruins and Red Sox fan and especially loved the NY Giants. Greg leaves his beloved daughter, Adrianna Marie (Michelle Raymond). His devoted parents; mother, Cindy Clement and her husband Jim of Chicopee; father, Michael Seidnitzer and his wife Deb of Wilbraham. His siblings; Jeffrey of Chicopee, Katie of Wilbraham and Kyle and his fiancée, Taylor Perry of Avon, CT. and a niece, Kurstyn Seidnitzer of Chicopee. His maternal grandparents; Louis and Suzanne Scanapieco of South Hadley. Paternal grandmother, Ruth Seidnitzer (deceased) Paternal grandfather; Paul Seidnitzer and Helen all of Hampton, VA.; Aunt, Carla & Rick Dermody and their daughter, Alexa Dermody of Granby; Aunt, Gina & John Roy and their children; Taylor, Kayla and Gianna of South Hadley; Uncle, Richard Seidnitzer and his son Kurt and family of Chicopee; his great Aunt, Charlotte Scanapieco of Chicopee; step grandmother, Jane Parker of Feeding Hills, Aunt, Heather Seidnitzer of Hampton, VA. as well as the many cherished family members and friends of the Seidnitzer, Scanapieco and Clement families.. He was predeceased by his uncle Timothy Seidnitzer. Family and friends will gather to remember Gregory on Saturday, February 22, 2020 at Tylunas Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 159 Broadway St., Chicopee from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. with a Celebration of Life Service at 2:00 p.m. at Tylunas Funeral Home. Interment will be private.
