1928-2016Springfield- Harry Fekeris, 88, a lifelong resident of Springfield, entered into eternal rest on Friday September 23, 2016 at Bay State Medical Center with his family by his side. He was born in Springfield on May 18, 1928 a son of the late George and Pagagiona Fekeris. Harry graduated from Springfield Technical High School, and enlisted in the U.S. Marines serving his county and, earned the rank of Staff Sargent. He is survived by his first wife Barbara Roberts and mother of his four devoted children, Robert Fekeris of St. Petersburg, FL, Darlene Fekeris of Ludlow, Linda Bramucci and her husband Peter of Ludlow, and Laurie Fekeris of Springfield; five cherished grandchildren, Jessica , Alexander and Stephanie Bramucci e, Justin and Jamie Fekeris ; great granddaughter Giavanna Bramucci .Harry was predeceased by his wife Jeanne (Ferland) Fekeris of 37 years, his brother Nick, his sisters Mary English, Helen Desrosiers; a granddaughter Shaina Fekeris. Harry will be sadly missed by family and all his friends at the Holyoke Mall and many friends he made on the sidelines watching his grandchildren soccer games. Funeral services for Harry will begin on Wednesday, September 28 at 8:30 a.m. from the TYLUNAS FUNERAL HOME, 159 Broadway, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10 a.m. in Sacred Heart Church; 395 Chestnut Street, Springfield, burial will follow in Hillcrest Park Cemetery, 895 Parker St., Springfield. Family and friends are invited to calling hours on Tuesday September 27, from 4 - 7p.m. at the funeral home.
