Helen A. Daigneault                            1920-2009   CHICOPEE- Helen Daigneault, 89 years young, passed away peacefully Friday, September 25th. "Joey", a favorite family nickname for Helen, was the wife of Theodore Daigneault who predeceased her in 1995. She will be missed by her sons and daughters-in-law, Theodore and Linda from Pennsylvania along with Dennis and Kyla of Chicopee. Her grandchildren, Benjamin and his wife Candace, Todd and his wife Amanda, Jessica and her husband Scott, Terri and her husband Bob, have many fond memories of happy times with "Grandma". She loved them with all her heart. She cherished her times with her great-grandchildren who knew her as "GiGi". Chase, Jacob, Lucas, Brenna Rae and MacKenzie filled her life with joy. Helen touched many lives and will be sadly missed by all. She was a gift to everyone who knew her. She was a communicant of St. George's Church. A special remembrance to Lil and Ted Bigda and the rest of the Saturday night church group. She looked forward to the weekly get together's with her friends. We'd like to offer a special thank you to Donna and Noreen for their care and attention given to Helen and her family while she was in CICU. They helped make this sad time a little more bearable. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 29th, beginning at 9 a.m. at the Tylunas Funeral Home, 159 Broadway, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10 a.m. in St. George Church, 7 Belcher St., with Rites of Committal and burial to follow in St. Patrick's Cemetery, fuller Rd., all in Chicopee. Helen's family will receive relatives and friends at the visiting hours on Monday September 28th from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
