Helen M. (Haupt) Landry 1930 -2012 Chicopee - Helen M. (Haupt) Landry, 81, formerly of Grayson Dr. Springfield, died Monday, May 14, 2012 at Heritage Hall East in Agawam. Born in Pittsburgh, PA on August 27, 1930 she was the daughter of the late Herman and Gladys (Schultz) Haupt. Helen graduated from high school in Pittsburgh and in 1955 married her husband of 39 years, Arthur N. Landry. They moved to Alaska in 1955, they also lived in Spokane,WA for 4 years before moving to Chicopee in 1967. Helen worked in medical records at Holyoke Hospital for 25 years retiring in 1997. She was on the board of trustees and was a member of the former Chicopee Falls United Methodist Church for most of her life. She loved to volunteer her time at the church and taught Sunday school there for many years. Helen later attended St. Paul's United Methodist Church. She was a Cub Scout leader for troop 144 in which her two sons belonged.  Helen leaves two sons Mark Landry and his wife Deborah of Springfield and Clay Landry and his significant other Kellie Fitzpatrick of Queensbury, NY, five grandchildren Patrick Landry and Valerie Gallagher and her husband Ryan; Matthew, Kara, and Jessica Landry and their mother Kathryn Landry. Helen was predeceased by her brother Nicholas Haupt and two sisters Virginia Raffer-Sheehan and Gladys Thomas. The funeral will be held at the Tylunas Funeral Home 159 Broadway Chicopee, Friday at 10am. Burial in Fairview Cemetery, Chicopee.
