Helen Pasierb 1922-2010 CHICOPEE- Helen (Madej) Pasierb, a life long Chicopee resident, entered into eternal rest on her 88th birthday, Wednesday, November 10, 2010 at home. Helen was born in Chicopee on November 10, 1922, a daughter of the late Julian and Agnes (Dziekan) Madej. She was a machine operator for 25 years at Dielectrics in Chicopee, retiring in 1984. Helen was a communicant of The Basilica of St. Stanislaus in Chicopee. She enjoyed gardening, baking and cooking, quilting and traveling. Helen is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 67 years, Casimir T. Pasierb; a son, Thomas C. Pasierb and his wife Jeanne of Lakeville, MA; two grandsons, Michael Pasierb of Sanford, ME and Mark Pasierb of Phoenix, AZ; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three brothers, Tony, Bill, and Adolph Madej; and one sister, Freda Slapski. A funeral home service will be held on Monday, November 15th at 11 a.m. in the Tylunas Funeral Home, 159 Broadway, with Rites of Committal and burial to follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, 800 Montgomery St., both in Chicopee. Helen's family will receive relatives and friends at the visitation prior to the service on Monday from 10-11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Helen's memory to Mercy Hospice, 1236 Main St. Holyoke, MA 01040 or American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
