Hildemarie Hoffman 1922-2005 CHICOPEE- Hildemarie (Jackson) Hoffman, 83, a resident of Chicopee since 1946 and formerly of England, passed away on Sunday September 11, 2005 at Mercy Medical Center in Springfield. She was born in England on April 7, 1922 the daughter of Harry and Edith Jackson. She graduated from Cambridge County High School for Girls in England. Hildemarie retired from Monarch Life Insurance in Springfield after 25 years of service as the manager of the claims department. She was a member of Christ Church Cathedral, and their Altar Guild, and was also a member of the Daughters of the Nile, and the Eastern Star. Hildemarie was predeceased by her husband, Norman L. Hoffman in 1992, her brother, Granville Jackson, and her long time friend, Lewis Roberts. She is survived by her brother, Hilton Jackson of Worcester, England, and her close friends, Clarence and Irene Hamilton of Quebec, Canada. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday September 27th at 11 a.m. at Church Christ Cathedral, 35 Chestnut St., Springfield, with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery, Fairview St., Chicopee. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children, Attn: Donations Department, 516 Carew St., Springfield, MA 01104. Tylunas Funeral Home, 159 Broadway, Chicopee, entrusted with arrangements.
