James T. Baker

James T. Baker1946-2015Chicopee- James "Jim" T. Baker, 68, of Chicopee, passed away on Sunday, January 11, 2015 at home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Holyoke on August 18, 1946, he was a son of the late John A. and Doris E. (Patterson) Baker. Jim served as a Sergeant in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War and also served in Phucat. He was a member of Teamsters local 404 and enjoyed sailing and building model planes.  Jim especially loved riding his bike with his brother-in-law Leonard. He leaves his loving wife, Iris (Brown) Baker; his four children, Julie Roda and her husband Joe, James Baker of Texas, Heather Granger and her husband Jeff, and Edward Jagla; two brothers, John Baker and William Baker and his wife Naomi; several brothers and sisters-in-law; three grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Jim was a wonderful man who will be truly missed by his family and friends. Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.
