James M. Beshara 1922-2004 Chicopee- James M. Beshara, 82, died Monday evening, October 18, 2004, at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield. Born in Fall River, MA on August 23, 1922, he was the son of the late Alexander and Nazira (Salawan) Beshara. James was employed at Hamilton Standard in Windsor Locks, CT, retiring in 1984 after 34-years of service. He was a WWII U.S. Navy veteran, serving in the South Pacific, and as a diving Instructor. He attended Fall River schools and graduated from BMC Durfee High School. James was a life member of the Fraternal Order of the Elks, Lodge 61 in Springfield. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by three brothers and three sisters. James is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 56-years; Ruth E. (Zacamy) Beshara, two sons, Michael J. Beshara, and his companion, Tom Coon of Boston, Steven J. Beshara, and his wife Dorothy of Chicopee, a daughter, Judy Spiegal and her husband Jon, of Sebring, FL, four grandchildren, Lindsey, Adam, and Elizabeth Beshara, and Jessica Rutledge, two great grandchildren, Kayla and Amanda, and a niece, Margaret Vasconcellos of Somerset, MA. Funeral services for James are private and at the convenience of the family. Expressions of sympathy may be made in James's memory to a charity of one?s choice.
