James Peter Breyare

James P. Breyare1944-2016 James "Jimmy" P. Breyare, 71, of Chicopee, died suddenly, while travelling through the island of Porto Santos, Portugal on April 5 2016.  He was born in Holyoke, MA. to the late Arthur and Irene (Lacey) Breyare.  Jimmy graduated from St. Jerome High School in 1962 and continued his education throughout his life-long journey.  He was a retiree of Peter Pan Bus Lines where he received many awards such the One Million Miles Accident-Free driving award and the Outstanding Achievement Award.  Jimmy's enthusiastic love of life often led him to seeking out new adventures home and abroad with his Travelling Companion and Wife, Christine.  His sense of humor, love of music, fondness for a feisty political debate, always made him the life of the party and won him the admiration and love of all who were blessed to be part of his life. Jimmy leaves his wife of 17 years, Christine McCann, three daughters Kelly Morin of Johnstown, CO., Jennifer Longtine her husband Christopher of Winthrop, MA., Marianne Chadwick her husband Dennis of Thornton, CO, three step-children Sarah McCann-Gaumond, Patrick McCann, Heather Ferreira and seven grandchildren, Timothy, Nicholas, Hayley, Mallory, Joey, Thomas, and Lucas.  He also leaves his brothers Arthur Breyare and his wife Janice, Daniel Breyare and his wife Gail, Wilber Breyare and his wife Christine, and his sister Theresa Dutra and her husband Gilbert along with his loving nieces and nephews.  The family wishes to thank David Kollisch for his dear friendship and compassionate care during Jimmy's sudden illness.  The earth lost an incredible human being on April 5th and heaven now holds the spirit of a wonderful man, James Breyare.  He was a great man who lovingly accepted everyone.  We love you and we will miss you Jimmy.
