James P. Curry

James P. Curry Sr. 1931-2010 CHICOPEE-James P. Curry, Sr., 79, was called safely home to be with his wife Virginia (Gates) and his beloved son James P. Curry, Jr.  James worked for the Wall Street Journal and retired after many years of service.  He was a U.S. Navy veteran.  James was a communicant of the former St. Patrick's Church, Chicopee.  James is survived by three sons, Kevin P., Dennis M., Timothy J. Curry, all of Chicopee; six daughters, Virginia M. Taillefer of Agawam, Carol A. Page and her husband Paul of Brookfield, MA, Patricia C. Moise and her husband Jerry, Susan T. Asselin and her husband Roland, Margaret M. Goonan and her husband Chris, and Kathleen J. Curry and her husband Kevin Topor, all of Chicopee; 14 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held December 15th beginning at 8:30 a.m. from the Tylunas Funeral Home, 159 Broadway, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. in St. Rose de Lima Church, 600 Grattan St., with rites of Committal to follow in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Fuller Rd., all in Chicopee. James' family will receive relatives and friends at the visiting hours on Tuesday, December 14th from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in James' memory to a charity of ones choice.  For directions or to leave expressions of sympathy, visit James' personal webpage at tylunasfuneralhome.com Tylunas Funeral Home (413) 592-0148 www.tylunasfuneralhome.com
