James "Jim" Moran

James F. Moran 1956-2006 CHICOPEE- James "Jim" F. Moran, 50, a resident of Chicopee for 17 years, and formerly of Agawam, entered into eternal rest on Saturday April 29, 2006 at home. Jim was born in Springfield on March 24, 1956 the son of the late James M. and Amelia B. (Chriscola) Moran. He graduated from Agawam High School, and had worked at Guzik Motors for 3 years, and had worked prior at the former Hapco Auto Parts in Holyoke, and the former Chriscola Farm Equipment in Agawam. Jim was an avid race car/NASCAR fan and was a former mechanic at Riverside Speedway in Agawam. He enjoyed boating and jet skiing. Jim was devoted to his family, especially to his wife and children. He is survived by his loving wife of 17 years; Sandy J. (Olson) Moran, his cherished son and daughter; Michael J. and Amanda L. Moran, a uncle; Frank Chriscola, Jr., a aunt; Rose Chriscola, both of Agawam, several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and cousins. A funeral home service will be held on Wednesday morning May 3rd at 10 a.m. at the Tylunas Funeral Home, 159 Broadway, with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery, Fairview St., both in Chicopee. Jim's family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday May 2nd from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made in Jim's memory to the Michael & Amanda Moran Scholarship Fund, c/o Peoples Savings Bank.
