Jean Forman

Rita Jean (Austin) Forman, 76, of Chicopee, MA formerly of Staatsburg, NY entered into eternal rest on July 9 at Bay State Medical Center, with her family by her side. Rita was born on August 20, 1939 in Fort Kent, Maine to the late Romeo and Azilda (Pinette) Austin. She was married to James Forman who predeceased her in 2001.  Rita worked for over fifteen years with IBM, as a computer tech specialist, before her retirement in 1995.  She was an avid NY Yankee fan, loved golf, fishing and bowling, but most of all love spending time with her family. She had a love for nature, animals especially her cat "Jeter". Rita was a life time member of the VFW post auxiliary #6002. She leaves behind her four children; three sons; Bryan S. Forman and his wife Lynette of West Simsbury, CT, James A. Forman Jr. and his wife Janine of Gilroy, CA, Peter P. Forman and his partner Jennifer Braga of Hyde Park, NY ; daughter Alison A. Forman and her spouse Kim Haney of Chicopee, MA ; brother Dana Austin and his wife Rosa of Mansfield, CT;sister Joan Tuxbury of Silver Springs, FL; four grandchildren Bryan S. Forman Jr., Cameron M. Forman both of Bloomfield, CT, Jayla R. Forman and Jessa M. Forman both of Gilroy , CA and a good friend Pat Johnson of Hyde Park , NY. Rita was predeceased by her husband; parents and two sisters Janice Miller and Joyce Austin.  Funeral services for Rita will be held at Regina Coeli Church, 4 Harvey Street Hyde Park, NY 12538 on Thursday July 14 at 10:30 AM.
