Jeannette A. Williams (Norton)

Jeannette A. (Norton) Williams, 91, formerly of Chicopee passed away peacefully on Friday morning, March 10, 2023 at Lifecare in Wilbraham. Jeannette was a longtime Springfield resident, having grown up in Chicopee. She graduated from Chicopee High School in 1950. Jeannette worked for 23 years for the Springfield Public Schools as a Teacher’s Aide. She moved to Deerfield Beach, FLA and resided there for many years before returning to the area. Jeannette married Richard A. Williams in 1955 and shared (54) wonderful years together. Jeannette loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Richard A. Williams, longtime Springfield Firefighter, in 2009, her daughter in law, Beverly Williams and her sister, Shirley Meimerstorf. She leaves her loving children; James Williams of Springfield; Toni A. Keefe and her husband William of Springfield and Joyce E. Gondek and her husband John Gondek of South Carolina. Her five cherished grandchildren; Patrick, Erin and Brian Keefe and Michael and Daniel Barbieri and seven loved great grandchildren. Her siblings; James Norton and Carol Zaban and several nieces and nephews.
FAMILY AND FRIENDS WILL GATHER TO REMEMBER JEANNETTE ON WEDNESDAY, MARCH 15, 2023 AT THE TYLUNAS FUNERAL HOME 159 BROADWAY, CHICOPEE FROM 9:30 TO 11:00 A.M. WITH A SERVICE AT THE FUNERAL HOME AT 11:00 A.M.
Burial will follow in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Chicopee. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Springfield Fire Department Donation Account 605 Worthington Street, Springfield, MA 01105.
