Joan A. Moreau

CHICOPEE-Joan A. Moreau, 85, of Edbert Street in Chicopee passed away peacefully on Tuesday with her family at her side at Mont Marie Nursing Home. Joan was born in Chicopee on January 19, 1935, the daughter of the late James and Lillian (Malone) Edwards. She was a lifelong resident of Chicopee and attended local schools. She loved roller-skating and dancing, especially at the Winter Palace in Holyoke. Joan loved camping with her husband and family in her youth. She married the love of her life Joseph "Jeep" Moreau and they settled in Chicopee to raise their family. Joan was sadly predeceased by her beloved husband, Joseph in 1993 and an infant daughter, Cheryl Ann Moreau (born 1957 and passed away in 1958). Joan leaves her children; Kenneth Moreau of Willimansett, Sandra Moreau of Chicopee, Sherri Orszulak and her husband Henry Orszulak of West Springfield. Her cherished   Grandchildren; Amanda Orszulak, Daniel Moreau, Keri Ann Brunault and Kyle Brunault and her great grandchildren; Jayden and Briella Dowers.  Family and Friends will gather to remember Joan at the TYLUNAS FUNERAL HOME, 159 Broadway Street on Friday evening, March 13, 2020 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be Saturday morning from the Tylunas Funeral Home at 8:00 A.M. with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 9:00 a.m. in  St. Rose de Lima Church, 600 Grattan St., Aldenville. Burial will follow in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Fuller Rd., Chicopee. Donations in Joan's memory may be made to the Alzheimers Association, 309 Waverley Oaks Rd, Waltham, MA 02452
