John J. Bourguignon

John J. Bourguignon 1979 ~ 2008   CHICOPEE- John J. Bourguignon, 28, a life long Chicopee resident, entered into eternal rest on Friday, September 19, 2008. He was born in Chicopee on December 2, 1979, a son of Roger H. and Marie E. (Menard) Bourguignon. John attended Chicopee schools and graduated from Chicopee Comprehensive High School in 1998, where he lettered in football for four years and was named all Western Mass for two years. He was employed for the past 12 years at Stop & Shop and was the produce manager in Chicopee. John loved his family and was a loving husband, father, son, brother, and grandson. He enjoyed hanging out with his friends and watching sports, especially the Red Sox, Patriots and Celtics. John loved working with his hands and remodeling homes. He is survived by two cherished children, Josclyn M. Bourguignon and John J. Bourguignon Jr.; his wife, Jillian M. (Grimes) Bourguignon; his parents, Roger H. and Marie E. (Menard) Bourguignon; two brothers, William H. and Joseph H. Bourguignon; two sisters; Jo-Ann M. Bourguignon and Michelle A. Davidson; his maternal grandfather, Charles R. Menard; and many cousins, aunts, uncles and friends. A funeral home service will be held on Tuesday September 23, 2008 at 10 a.m. in the Tylunas Funeral Home, 159 Broadway St., with Rites of Committal and burial to follow in St. Rose de Lima Cemetery, Olsen St., both in Chicopee. John's family will receive relatives and friends at the funeral home for visiting hours on Monday September 22, 2008 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in John's memory to The Bourguignon Children's Trust Fund, c/o Aldenville Credit Union, 710 Grattan St., Chicopee, MA01020.
