John James Krstyen

John James Krstyen of Springfield, age 69, passed away unexpectedly November 14, 2024. John was born in Springfield on July 7,1955, a son to his late parents, Robert and Geraldine (Maroney) Krstyen. He was a Veteran, and was proud to have served our country in the Army RA with the rank of Private 2nd Class. John was a spiritual man, he was an animal lover, and he enjoyed fishing. Above all else though, John loved his family. In 1982, John met the love of his life, Karen Doyon. They were married after two weeks and enjoyed 42 years of marriage together. John is predeceased by his parents and two of his brothers, Ricky and David Krstyen. He is survived by his adoring wife Karen, his four sons John Krstyen and his wife Rebecca of Concord, MA, Daniel Krstyen of Matawan, NJ, Michael Krstyen of Springfield, MA, and Joseph of Santa Clarita, CA, his brothers Daniel, Thomas, and Bobby Krstyen, and his sister Mary Jo Dube, all of Chicopee, MA. He also leaves his grandchildren, Zach and Xander Monson, and Haley and Emily Krstyen. John was particularly close to Emily and will be sorely missed by her. Tylunas Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements. A Graveside Service with Military Honors will be held at the Massachusetts Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery at 1390 Main St, Agawam, MA on Tuesday, November 26, 2024. Family and friends are invited to meet at the cemetery at 2:00 PM for the ceremony.
