John J. Mannix

John J. Mannix 1961-2011 Springfield- John "J" J. Mannix, 50, of Springfield and formerly of South Hadley, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, October 8, 2011. J was born in Bridgeport, CT, a son of Mary Ann (Watson) Mannix of South Hadley and the late Edward F. Mannix Jr. He graduated from South Hadley High School and Lettered in football. J worked for many years at Monsanto and had worked previously for W.R. Grace in Florence. He was an avid fan of the Boston Bruins, Celtics, Red Sox and New England Patriots. Besides his mother, J is survived by a daughter, Candee L. Scott and her fiancée Greg Garcia of Springfield; two brothers, Edward F. Mannix III and his wife Donna of New Paltz, NY, and Brian R. Mannix of South Hadley; two sisters, Beth Ferrando and her husband Bob of Palmer, and Ann Marie Cunningham of Palmer; a granddaughter, Aubriana Garcia; five nieces and nephews, Kevin, Justin, Denise and Haley Mannix, and  Martin Cunningham; two aunts, Joan Watson and Carolyn Watson, both of Chicopee; and a uncle, Jack Watson of North Andover. Funeral services for J were private. In lieu of flowers, it was J's wish that memorial contributions be made in his memory to any animal shelter. Tylunas Funeral Home (413)592-0148
