Josephine K. O'Brien 1918-2007 Chicopee- Josephine "Jo" K. (Koziol) O'Brien, 88, of Chicopee and formerly of the Hungry Hill section of Springfield, entered into eternal rest on Friday June 22, 2007 in Baystate Medical Center. She was born in Chicopee on June 30, 1918 a daughter of the late Joseph and Agnes (Kapinos) Koziol. Jo retired in 1980 from Buxton in Agawam as an inspector after 15 years of service, and had worked prior at Handy's in Springfield for 30 years as a meat packer, and Westinghouse for five years. She enjoyed dancing and playing cards. Jo is survived by her two sons, Elliot O'Brien of the Hungry Hill section of Springfield and David O'Brien and his fiancée Shirley Desclos of Chicopee; two grandsons, Noah O'Brien and his wife Dawn of Springfield and William Rackliffe of Springfield; two great-grandchildren, Caelin and Nicholas O'Brien; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter-in-law, Nancy O'Brien. Visiting hours are Monday June 25th from 7-9 p.m. at the Tylunas Funeral Home, 159 Broadway St., Chicopee. Rites of Committal and burial will be held on Saturday June 30th at 10:30 a.m. in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, 800 Montgomery St., Chicopee.
