Kathleen M. Parenteau

Kathleen M. Parenteau1940-2015Chicopee- Kathleen M. (Morrill) Parenteau passed away on Monday, June 1, 2015 at Baystate Medical Center. Kathy was born on April 11, 1940 in Worcester, MA to the late Lawrence W. and Helen C. (Dickie) Morrill.  She was a 1958 graduate of Leicester High School, and married on April 23, 1960 to William Raymond Parenteau of Worcester, MA.  Kathy is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Bill of Chicopee; her eldest son Thomas R. Parenteau and wife Claudine G. (Cofield) Parenteau of Norfolk, VA; daughter Pamela A. Parenteau of Easthampton, and her granddaughter Paula Parenteau of Norfolk, VA.  Kathy was a nurse's aide at East Longmeadow Nursing Home, and the owner/operator of K & B ceramics and Kathy's Kiln all while raising 3 children.  She was a Den mother & Webelo mother for Troop 56 of East Springfield.  Some of her favorite pastimes were dancing with her husband, spending summers in Raymond, ME, camping, sewing, card stamping, and enjoying time with family and "having a spot of tea" with friends.  She was predeceased by her brother David L. Morrill (1956 - 2011) with surviving wife Cheryl of Uxbridge and her youngest son Peter L. Parenteau (1963 - 2011) with surviving fiancée Rose Landry of Northampton.  Kathy's services will be held at a later date.
