Larry G. Van Wert

CHICOPEE- Larry G. Van Wert, 62, of Carlton Ave in Chicopee Ma, passed away very peacefully on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at Mercy Hospital Larry was born in Chester, MA. on March 14, 1955 a son to the late Raymond and Bernadette (Lussier) Van Wert.  He was raised and educated in Chester and Becket and moved to Chicopee in his teens. He graduated from Chicopee High School and also attended Holyoke Community College. Larry was a Self-Employed Carpenter, handling Home Improvement and Commercial Maintenance as well as many residential projects during his life. When Larry wasn't working he enjoyed trains, engines and airplanes as well as model building. He enjoyed the beach, especially the fall time on Cape Cod. Larry loved walking the beach and collecting shells. In addition to his parents, Larry was predeceased by his brother, Charles Van Wert. He leaves his beloved wife of 25 years, Mary (Rego) Van Wert. Mary would like to thank Amy & Veronica from Stavros for all their care, love and their big hearts they shared with Larry during his illness. At Larry's request, all services and burial will be private. Tylunas Funeral Home, 159 Broadway St., Chicopee is entrusted with Larry's care and services.
