Leonard Harrison Jr.1943-2014SPRINGFIELD- Leonard "Lenny" Harrison Jr., 70, passed away on Friday, November 14, 2014 in Berkshire Medical Center, Pittsfield. He was born in Waterbury, CT on December 12, 1943, a son of the late Leonard and Irene M. (Parkin) Harrison. Leonard was a U.S. Army Vietnam Conflict Aircraft Mechanic and Crew Chief veteran, obtaining the rank of SP4. He received the Vietnam Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal Award of Gallantry, Vietnam Defense Campaign Medal, and the Vietnam Counter Offensive Campaign Medal. Leonard enjoyed wood working, flying model airplanes, fixing cars, gardening, and auto racing. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 45 years, Rosemary A. (Barre) Harrison; three sons, William L. Harrison of West Springfield, James A. Harrison of Springfield, and Thomas M. Harrison and his wife Cherri of Chicopee; two grandchildren, Dylan and Colin; a brother, David Harrison and his wife Andrea of Brewster, MA; a sister, Carol Beusee of Harwich, MA; and many nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held on Friday, November 21st at 2 p.m. in the Massachusetts Veterans' Memorial Cemetery Chapel, 1390 Main St. Agawam. There are no visiting hours.
