Liberty Rebecca Dagenais

Liberty R. Dagenais 1980-2010 SPRINGFIELD - Liberty "Libby" R. (Skrypeck) Dagenais of Springfield formerly of West Springfield and Chicopee entered into eternal rest in the loving presence of her family of Thursday, July 22, 2010.  Born in Buffalo, NY, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Johnette (Domanski) Skrypeck.  Libby was a graduate of West Springfield High School, Springfield Technical Community College and attended Westfield State College for certification as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT).  Libby had been employed as an EMT for Baystate Medical Center.  She had also worked for the former RGIS of Holyoke.  Libby enjoyed life to the fullest and enjoyed just being happy.  She loved doing various crafts, the ocean and in particular the beach, as well as helping people. The art of tattooing was her passion and she had a special fondness for animals.  Libby leaves her loving husband and soul mate, Louis J. Dagenais; her brothers, Barrett O. Skrypeck of VT; Lincoln H. Skrypeck of WA; her mother-in-law, Patricia Dagenais and father-in-law Charles Robinson of West Springfield; and her sister-in-law Cassandra Dagenais of West Springfield.  Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, July 28, 2010 at the Tylunas Funeral Home 159 Broadway, Chicopee from 5 to 8 p.m.  A Memorial Service will take place on Wednesday evening at 7:30 p.m.  Burial will be private.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Libby's memory may be made to Rays of Hope, Baystate Health Foundation, 280 Chestnut St., Springfield, MA  01199 or to Cancer House of Hope, 946 Plumtree Road, Springfield, MA  01118.
