Lillian G. "Sunny" (Rousseau) Beaudreault, 91, of Chicopee, died peacefully in her home of 67 years in Chicopee on December 23, 2016. She was born and raised in Holyoke, a daughter of the late James and Germaine (Houle) Rousseau. She was formerly employed for many years at F.W. Sickles Company and the Chicopee Rest Home. She was a longtime communicant of St. Rose de Lima Church and was especially grateful to Claire Cote who provided her with in home communion. She loved her family, the Red Sox, music, dancing, cooking, audio books and the opportunity to meet new acquaintances. Sunny had the uncanny ability to make everyone laugh and feel welcome as if they were part of the family. She also made sure that anyone who visited never left her home hungry. Sunny was the beloved wife of the late Edward Beaudreault and married on June 8, 1949. She leaves 5 loving children, James and his wife Susan, Gerald and his wife Lydia, Donald, Lynne Lovell and her husband Paul, and David and his wife Tricia; four grandchildren, James Beaudreault and his wife Maura, Sean Beaudreault, Kris Marie Beaudreault; Todd Lovell; Kyle, Michael, and Danielle Beaudreault; and Breana Beaudreault; two great-grandchildren, Lily and Delaney Larsen. The family would like to extend a special thanks to all the staff and nurses at Baystate Visiting Nurse and Hospice for all their support and kindness. A liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, December 30th at 9:00 AM at St. Rose de Lima Church, 600 Grattan Street, in Chicopee. Relatives and friends may call on Thursday evening from 4-7 PM at the Tylunus Funeral Home, 159 Broadway Street in Chicopee. Burial will be private in St. Rose de Lima Cemetery. Contributions in her memory may be directed to Baystate VNAH and Hospice or the Massachusetts Association for the Blind.
