Lillian B. Denis1924-2014SPRINGFIELD- Lillian B. (Blanchard) Denis, 90, a lifelong Chicopee resident, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, December 10, 2014 in Baystate Medical Center with her family by her side. She was born in Chicopee on April 27, 1924, a daughter of the late Cyril J. and Georgianna (Demers) Blanchard. Lillian retired from Dielectrics and was a communicant of the former St. George Church, both in Chicopee. Lillian loved to read and do crossword and jigsaw puzzles. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Alfred Denis. Lillian is survived by five children, Alfred R. Denis and his wife Evelyn of Windham, CT, Suzanne M. Hemby and her husband Terry of Chicopee, Gary J. Denis of Chicopee, Gail A. Lempart of Chicopee, and Betsy C. Gilley and her fiancé Mark Crossway of Berlin, CT; 11 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, a sister, Joyce Blanchard of Chicopee; two brothers, Ernest Blanchard of Florida, and Louis Blanchard of Pennsylvania; cousin and good friend, Lorraine Anderson of Holyoke; and many nieces and nephews. Lillian's family will receive relatives and friends at the Tylunas Funeral Home, 159 Broadway St., Chicopee on Wednesday, December 17th from 4-7 p.m.  A funeral home service will be held immediately following the visiting hours. Rites of Committal will be held on Thursday, December 18th at 11:30 a.m. at St. Patrick's Cemetery, Fuller Rd., also in Chicopee.
