Linda J. Wescott-Docherty1964-2014SPRINGFIELD- Linda J. Wescott-Docherty, 49, a lifelong East Springfield resident, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, September 18, 2014 at Baystate Medical Center. She was born in Springfield on November 6, 1964, a daughter of Harold H. Wescott of Springfield and the late Elizabeth A. (Leavitt) Wescott. Linda was a communicant of Mary, Mother of Hope Church, East Springfield. She enjoyed oldies music and planning and celebrating parties. Besides her father Harold, Linda is survived by her loving husband, William "Bill" Docherty of East Springfield; a daughter, Amanda E. Summerson and her husband Erik of Chicopee; a son, Cody W. Docherty of East Springfield; a grandson, Alex Wescott of Chicopee; three sisters, Diane P. Adams and her husband Thomas of Ludlow, Gail M. Messier and her husband Gary of Chicopee, and Susan M. Wescott-Rivard of Chicopee; and many nieces and nephews. Besides her mother, Linda was predeceased by a brother-in-law, Jules Rivard Jr. A funeral home service will be held on Thursday, September 25th at 12 noon at the Tylunas Funeral Home, 159 Broadway St. Chicopee. Linda's family will receive relatives and friends prior to the service on Thursday from 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. at the funeral Home. Burial will be private.
