Margaret A. Yamin1938-2014WESTFIELD- Margaret A. (Clapper) Yamin, 75, affectionately known by many as 'Auntie Marge', entered into eternal rest on Thursday, November 6, 2014 in Holyoke Medical Center. She was born in Springfield on December 9, 1938, a daughter of the late Kathryn (Sears) Clapper and Paul Clapper. Marge was a joker, a free spirit and an honest soul who always let you know where you stood in her book of life. She enjoyed playing cards, cooking and social gatherings and was always the life of the party. Marge was fun loving, light hearted and loved her family and friends. She will be missed dearly by all who knew her, she was truly one of a kind.  She is survived to treasure her memory by her two children, Joseph S. Yamin, Jr., and his wife Patricia of Westfield, and Elizabeth M. Harris and her husband Herbert of Ware; three grandchildren, Cassandra, Adria and Nathan Sutter; two great grandchildren, Zachary and Dexter; her devoted friend and companion, Richard Durand of Westfield; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins stretching from Boston to California and Ireland. Besides her parents, Marge was predeceased by her husband, Joseph S. Yamin on March 19, 1965; and two sisters, Pauline Clune and Irene Chechile. Marge's family would like to thank the many doctors, nurses and healthcare professionals for the exceptional care that Marge received. A funeral home service will be held on Saturday, November 15th at 4 p.m. at the Tylunas Funeral Home, 159 Broadway St. Chicopee, with Marge's cousin, Fr. Francis Kennedy officiating. Marge's family will receive relatives and friends at the visitation prior to the service at the funeral home from 1-4 p.m. Rites of Committal will be private in the Massachusetts Veterans' Memorial Cemetery, Agawam. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Marge's memory to Shriner's Hospital for Children, 516 Carew St. Springfield, MA 01104.
