Margaret S. Yergeau                                                                                  1945 ~ 2008   CHICOPEE- Margaret S. (Smith) Yergeau, 63, of Chicopee, passed away on Monday February 25, 2008 at home. Margaret was born in Springfield on February 4, 1945 a daughter of the late Bernard E. and Cecilia V. (Perreault) Smith. She graduated from the former Springfield Trade High School in Springfield, and retired in 2000 from the Wall Street Journal as the Assistant Production Manager after 25 years of service. Margaret is survived by her husband of 25 years, Robert D. Yergeau; a daughter, Nancy L. Eggleston; a step-son, Chad G. Yergeau and his wife Juli; two brothers, Paul A. and Peter F. Smith; four sisters, Mary V. Gosselin and her husband Raymond, Josephine L. Elias and her husband Bertil, Helen M. Hyte, and Joan M. Gales and her husband Richard; two granddaughters, Jessica S. Drewniak and Merriah D. Eggleston; and many nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by a brother, Bernard E. Smith. A funeral home service will be held on Thursday February 28that 7 p.m. at the Tylunas Funeral Home, 159 Broadway, Chicopee. Visiting hours will also be held on Thursday prior to the service from 1-3 & 5-7 p.m. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Margaret's memory to the American Cancer Society, 59 Bobala Road, Holyoke, MA 01040.
