Marguerite M. King 1930-2007 Chicopee- Marguerite "Marge" M. (Croteau) King, 77, a life long Chicopee resident, entered into eternal rest on Monday December 17, 2007 in Mercy Medical Center after a short illness. Marguerite was born in Chicopee on July 25, 1930, a daughter of the late George and Agnes (Beauchamp) Croteau. She was a communicant of St. George Church and attended St. George School, both in Chicopee, and graduated from Nickelette High School in Quebec, Canada. Marguerite is survived by her husband of 57 years, Robert F. King (the former owner of Ayotte & King for Tile, Inc. Chicopee); six children, Linda J. King and loved one John Plant of Lenox, MA, Christine M. Brisbois and loved one Rene Lebond of Chicopee, Robert J. King and his wife Cynthia of Chicopee, Pamela A. Yeager and her husband David of East Hampton, CT, Scott A. King of Chicopee, and Russell F. King and his wife Suzanne of Fairview, TN; 11 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; six brothers, George, Paul, Jean, Pierre, Joseph, and Bernard Croteau; two sisters, Theresa Phaneuf and Cecile Leger; and many nieces and nephews. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday December 21st at 10 a.m. in St. George Church, 7 Belcher St., Chicopee. Burial will be private and at a later date. Visiting hours are Thursday December 20th at the Tylunas Funeral Home, 159 Broadway, Chicopee, from 3:30-7:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Marguerite's memory to the American Lung Association, 393 Maple St., Springfield, MA 01105.
