Maria C. Lobo                                                          1911-2007   Chicopee- Maria C. Lobo, 96, entered into eternal rest on Saturday March 3, 2007 in Willimansett Nursing Home in Chicopee. She was born on January 2, 1911 in Celorico Da Beira, Portugal, the daughter of the late Manuel Lobo and Emelia Conceicao. Maria retired in 1973 from Elco Dress Factory in Holyoke. She enjoyed gardening and crocheting. Maria was predeceased by her husband, Jose Reis, and a son-in-law, Jose L. Madeira. She is survived by her two daughters, Delfina Madeira and Maria Martins and her husband Manuel, all of Chicopee; a grandson, Fernando Martins and his wife Joanne of Chicopee; two great-grandchildren, Jason and Julia; a sister, a sister-in-law, and a niece in Portugal; and a sister-in-law, a niece and a few nephews in the United States. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday March 7th beginning at 9 a.m. from the Tylunas Funeral Home, 159 Broadway, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Patrick's Church, 319 Broadway, with Rites of Committal to follow in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Fuller Rd., all in Chicopee.
