Marilyn Ann Perron

CHICOPEE- Marilyn Ann (Forant) Perron, 88, a longtime Chicopee resident passed away peacefully on Wednesday afternoon in South Hadley with her devoted daughter at her side. Marilyn was born in Springfield on December 11, 1931, a daughter of the late Armand R. & Anna M. (Gosselin) Forant. She was raised in Chicopee attending local schools and graduated from Chicopee High School. She furthered her education, pursuing her dreams, and graduated from the Mercy Hospital School of Nursing. Marilyn loved people and nursing, she worked for the East Longmeadow Nursing Home, then later Heritage Hall in Agawam and finally was appointed the Health Nurse for the Longmeadow Council on Aging, where she retired from. Marilyn and her husband, Lawrence loved socializing, and many a Friday night they might have been spotted dancing at the Elks club to music from the big band era. She was a religious woman and devoted catholic of the Diocese of Springfield. Her beloved husband, Lawrence L. Perron passed away in 1988. She was also predeceased by her sister; Jean B. Crevier and Jean's husband Theodore Crevier. She leaves her daughter; Debbie A. Perron of Chicopee and her son, Thomas J. Perron and his wife Nancy also of Chicopee. Her two grandchildren; Kyle and Travis and several nieces and nephews.  The family invites you to join them to celebrate the Liturgy of Christian burial for Marilyn on Wednesday, January 15, 2020 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Rose de Lima Church, 600 Grattan St., Aldenville. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 421 Tinkham Rd., Spfld. Donations in Marilyn's memory may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or the Alzheimer's Association, 264 Cottage St, Springfield, MA 01104 Tylunas Funeral Home, 159 Broadway St., Chicopee has been entrusted with Marilyn's services.
