Mark E, Carra, 74, passed away peacefully on Saturday morning, January 7, 2023 at Baystate Medical center in Springfield after a brief illness. Mark was born and raised in Springfield, attending local schools. Furthering his education Mark attended Springfield Technical Community College. Mark worked for many years in the Aircraft Industry as a Turbine Engine Inspector. After retirement, never one to sit still and always looking for the next good deal, Mark spent many years trading and bargaining various goods. He knew the value of any item that passed through his hands and always got the best deal for it. He leaves his children; Michael Carra and his wife Lisa of Wilbraham, Mark Carra and his wife Ellen of Feeding Hills and Barbara A. Carra of Springfield. His grandchildren; Lindsay, Noah, Madelyn, Kendra, Tara and Kyle. His siblings; Ernest Carra of CA., John Carra of MD., Ann Marie, Diane and Susan Carra all of Springfield, as well as several nieces and nephews and his former wife, Barbara D. (Rankin) Carra. IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWED BY INTERMENT OF HIS ASHES IN ST. MICHAEL’S CEMETERY, 1600 STATE ST., SPRINGFIELD.
